First, Outer, Inner, Last items are multiplied.
(y-6)(y-4)
y*y=y^2
-4y
-6y
-6*-4=24 now combine like terms.
y^2-4y-6y+24
y^2-10y+24 ans.

outer y*-4=-4y
inner -6*y=-6y
last -4*-6=+24
now add them together
y^2-4y-6y+24
y^2-10y+24
