Read that first, to give you the idea, then see if this makes sense.
e-4 goes into e%5E2 e times. with remainder 3e+-12.
e-4 goes into 3e-12 3 times with remainder 0. So %28e%5E2-e-12%29%2F%28e-4%29=%28e%2B3%29
