You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The length of a rectangle is increased to 2 times its original size and its width is increased to 3 times its original size. If the area of the new rectangle is equal to 1800 square meters, what is the area of the original rectangle?

let theoriginal length be x
& the original width be y
the length is increased two times so it will become 2x
The width is increased 3 times so it will becom 3x
Area of rectangle is = length * width
2x*3x= 1800
6xy = 1800
xy = 300
But x*y is the area of the the rectangle before increase in length and width
The area of original rectangle = 300 square units
