Question 27107: Here is the question on my quiz sheet-
Find the slopes of the lines that are (a) parallel and (b) perpendicular to the line through the pair of points
(-3,-3) and (2, 2)
x1 y1 x2 y2 (so you see what i did)
The possible answers are -1;1, 0;0, 1;-1, -3/2; 2/3 I chose -1;1
I got -1 by taking 2-3 (y2-y1)=-1 and 2-3 (x2-x1)=-1 but I do not know how to find perpendicular or if I am even doing this problem correctly to begin with. I am having a very hard time period with graphing. Thank you so much for any help that you can give me so that I understand (or try to) what exactly I am supposed to be doing. If I can understand how this problem works then I should be able to figure out how the other one is figured out on my quiz. thanks again...Angi
