consecutive integers means one number right after another for example 1 and 2 or 5 and 6.
so we have (x) and (x+1)
sum of smaller and twice the larger is 47
%28x%29%2B2%28x%2B1%29=47
x%2B2x%2B2=47
3x%2B2=47
3x=45
x=15
and x+1=15+1=16
