You can put this solution on YOUR website!
From above we have:
(i) m + w = 49000
(ii) w = .40m
(iii) c = .25m
------------
step 1 - substituting (ii) into (i) we get
(iii) m + .4m = 49000
step 2 - combine like terms to get
(iv) 1.4m = 49000
step 3 - divide by 1.4 to get
(v) m = 35000
w = 14000
c = 8750
------------
In 2 years, the family ears 49000 + 49000 + 8750 + 8750 = 71400
