You can put this solution on YOUR website!
the product of 5 and 3 more than twice a number is 85. What is the number ?
-----------------
n = the "some number"
Twice a number + 3 = 2n+3
-----------------
5 times 2n+3 = 85
5*(2n+3) = 85
n+3 = 17
2n = 14
n = 7

Actually, I believe the equation is: 5%2A%283+%2B+2N%29+=+85
so, starting with 5%2A%283+%2B+2N%29+=+85, divide both sides by 5
3+%2B+2N+=+17 subtract 3 from both sides
2N+=+14 divide both sides by 2
