Question 269764: 8. Evaluate the exponential function for three positive values of x, three negative values of x, and at x=0. Show your work. Use the resulting ordered pairs to plot the graph; State the domain and the range of the function.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
As far as "evaluate the ... function" for the various values of x, just get out your calculator. If your calculator does not have a button for "e", then use
2.7182818284590451
of some rounded-off version of this number for e.

The domain is the set of possible values for x. Since x is an exponent and since exponents can be any number, the domain of this function is all Real numbers.

The range of a function is the set of possible values for y (or f(x)). Since the y is 2 times a power of e and since all powers of e are positive (Remember that e%5E0+=+1 and that negative exponents mean reciprocals and reciprocals of positive numbers, like e, are also positive) and since 2 times a positive number is positive, the range of this function is all positive Real numbers.
