You can put this solution on YOUR website! y>3x-5
these are fun to graph, because you use shading and a dotted line
_______________________
first of all when looking at this inequality u notice the sign ">" this means that your graph will be a dotted line and shaded on one side.
_______________________
we know that the dotted line will go through the y-axis at point -5 because that is the y-intercept.
_______________________
we know the slope is 3 which means to the up 3 and right 1.
_______________________
to find the points for the dotted line start with the intercept on the graph
from -5 go to the up 3 and right 1 to get point(1,-2)then from that point up 3 right 1 to point(2,1). Now you can draw your dotted line through those 3 points
_______________________
now we just need to find out which way to shade, if y is greater than -5,-2,1 then we shade up and to the left of the dotted line.
You can put this solution on YOUR website! how do you graph y>3x-5
-----
1st: Graph the boundary line as a dashed line: y = 3x-5
2nd: Shade the half-plane ABOVE the boundary line because
you want the y-values that are GREATER than the boundary
line y-values.
