Question 269326: Hi, I need some help with this word problem.
The perimeter of a triangle is 93 centimeters. If two sides are equally long and the third side in 9 centimeters longer than the others, find the lengths of the three sides.
So far this is what I get out of the word problem
a+b+c=93

You can put this solution on YOUR website! The perimeter of a triangle is 93 centimeters. If two sides are equally long and the third side in 9 centimeters longer than the others, find the lengths of the three sides.
So far this is what I get out of the word problem
a+b+c=93

That's a start.
2 sides are equal, a and b, so 2a+c = 93
The 3rd side is 9, so
2a + 9 = 93
2a = 84
a = b = 42
42, 42, 9
