Question 268962: Is there an example with Solving a linear equation with several occurrences of value. That may be shared in order to see ho the equation is done using fractions as well. Thanks Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! If you have any equation with fractions you can
eliminate the fractions by multiply thru the
equation by the least common multiple of the
denominators.
---------------------
Example:
x/2 + 1/3 = y/5
---
lcm of 2,3,and 5 is 30
----
Multiply thru by 30 to get:
15x + 10 = 6y
Then:
6y = 15x+10
y = (15/6)x + (10/6)
y = (5/2)x + (5/3)
===========================
Hope that helps.
