Question 268950: Is it safe to say this is correct? I have problems with the signs. Please advise Thanking you in advance

5(x -2)+2 = 2(3x +3) +3x
= 5x -10 +2 = 6x +6 +3
= 5x -8 = 18x +6
= 5x +18x +6
= 5x +18x = 6-8
= 23x = -2
x = -2/23

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
5(x -2)+2 = 2(3x +3) +3x
5x -10 +2 = 6x +6 +3x
5x -8 = 9x +6
Add 8 to both sides:
Subtract 9x from both sides:
-4x = 14
x = -14/4
x = -7/2
================
Note: I have corrected it.
