Let's expand this out to:
x^2-10x+25-x=30 Combine terms and subtract 30 from both sides to get:
x^2-11x-5=0
We'll need the quadratic formula to solve this:
x+=+%28-b+%2B-+sqrt%28+b%5E2-4%2Aa%2Ac+%29%29%2F%282%2Aa%29+ Entering the values looks like this:
{x = (+11 +- sqrt( 121+20 ))/(2) This comes out to be
x=11.44 and
