You can put this solution on YOUR website!
factor the polynomial by grouping
4x^3 - 4x^2 - 9x + 9
:
Factor out 4x^2
4x^2(x - 1) - 9x + 9
:
Factor out 9
4x^2(x - 1) - 9(x - 1)
:
Factor out (x-1)
(x - 1) (4x^2 - 9)
:
Note that 4x^2 - 9 is the difference of squares
(x - 1) (2x - 3) (2x + 3)
