Question 267852: Ariana and her father build a 0.08 scale model of her grandmother's cottage in Greece as a present for her mother. If the the scale model has a square footage of 7.68 square feet and if one side is 3.2 feet long, what is the square footage of her grandmother's cottage?
So far I think I got the other length, 2.4 ft.
But would I do after that?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Ariana and her father build a 0.08 scale model of her grandmother's cottage in Greece as a present for her mother. If the the scale model has a square footage of 7.68 square feet and if one side is 3.2 feet long, what is the square footage of her grandmother's cottage?
So far I think I got the other length, 2.4 ft.
But would I do after that?
-----------------------
It is 3.2 by 2.4 at 0.08 scale.
Both dimensions are 0.08 times the actual
s1*0.08 = 3.2
s1 = 3.2/0.08 = 40 feet
s1 = 2.4/0.08 = 30 feet
Area = 40*30 = 1200 square feet
