You can put this solution on YOUR website!
I have to solve using the principle of zero product
b(b+16)(b+3)=0 I know I have to set each to zero...but unclear on how to set it up...please help

We know a product of numbers equals 0 if and only if at least one of numbers is 0.
In this case the product is zero if b = 0 and/or (b+16) = 0 and/or (b+3) = 0.
So the solutions for b in this equation are:
1.) b = 0
b+16 = 0 so
2.) b = -16
b+3 = 0 so
3.) b = -3
