Question 26718: When the equation y=200*g^x models exponential growth, g can be
A) Any whole numer
B) any real number greater than 1
C) any real number
D) any real number between 0 and 1.
I think it may be D but I need some direction?
Thank you again for your help! Its greatly appreciated!!!!!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
well for growth, as x increases its value, so the value of g^x needs to increase...it is a growth remember!

If the number was between 0 and 1, like 0.2, then as the power increases, so 0.2 to that power will give smaller and smaller values...NOT GROWTH

If the number were 1, then any power of 1 is always 1...no growth.

If the number were any number greater than 1, then it would increase as the power increased...growth.

So...answer is one of 2 choices. You then have to reason out which (if any) of these are not allowed for other reasons.

I shall leave it up to you to decide :-)
