SOLUTION: I had a problem with an equvalent rational expression. The three denominators do not lend themselves to an LCD. {{{3/(2t) - 7/(t-1) = 1/t}}} I need to solve for t thank yo

Question 267093: I had a problem with an equvalent rational expression. The three denominators do not lend themselves to an LCD.
3%2F%282t%29+-+7%2F%28t-1%29+=+1%2Ft
I need to solve for t thank you for your help

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

3%2F%282t%29+-+7%2F%28t-1%29+=+1%2Ft

Put parentheses around every term:

%283%2F%282t%29%29+-+%287%2F%28t-1%29%29+=+%281%2Ft%29

The LCD is 2t%28t-1%29
Put it over 1, like this %28%282t%28t-1%29%29%2F1%29
Multiply every term by it

Cancel away the denominators:

3%28t-1%29-14t=2%28t-1%29

3t-3-14t=2t-2

-11t-3=2t-2

-13t=1

t=-1%2F13
