if not the negative exponent means the decimal goes to the left that # of times
so:
10%5E1=10
10%5E0=1
10%5E-1=.1
10%5E-2=.01
10%5E-3=.001
10%5E-4=.0001
10%5E-5=.00001
10%5E-6=.000001
