a. x^2 - 2x =13
b. 4x^2-8x=52
c. 4x^2-8x+4=52+4

4x^2-8x+4=56
d. 4(x^2-2x+1)=56
d. 4(x-1)^2=56

(x-1)^2=14

e. x-1=sqrt(14)
e. x=1+sqrt(14)

f. x-1=-sqrt(14)
f. x=1-sqrt(14)
