You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Please evaluate the following function or inverse; then write the ordered pair.
f(x)=3x+1 and f^-1=(x-1)/3
f(2) = 3*2+1 = 7
f^-1(x) = (x-1/3)
f^-1(7) = (7-1)/3 = 2
===========================
(2,7)

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
f%28x%29=3x%2B1 Start with the given function.

f%282%29=3%282%29%2B1 Plug in x=2

f%282%29=6%2B1 Multiply

f%282%29=7 Add

So the ordered pair is (2,7)
