You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Here you go mom,

this set of equations has no solutions. The 2 equations are parallel to each other...they will never cross to give a solution.

Solve the system using the method of your choice and tell how many solutions the system has.
x + y = 1
x + y = 3
NO SOLUTION.THESE ARE INCONSISTENT EQUATIONS.BECAUSE ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE BOTH ARE SAME ...X+Y....
WHERE AS ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE THERE ARE 2 DIFFERENT NUMBERS 1 AND 3.
SO,IF WE SATISFY THE FIRST EQUATION,TKING X AND Y SUCH THAT THEIR SUM IS 1 , THEN WE CAN NOT SATISFY THE SECOND EQUATION TO GET THE SAME X AND Y TO ADD UP TO 3...AND VICEVERSA.
