What i can't figure out is how to turn the answers into mixed numerals.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! do 83*6 which gives you 498
If they had sold 382 pices of pie:
498-382=116
Now 116 pices were left.
19 1/3 (pies left)
382-116=266 ---->44 1/3 (amount sold)
Hence, there were 19 pies left and 44 pies sold.
