Now together they have x+y=13 poles.
Solve for y
y=13-x(subsitution)
Dainel's pole has 6 worms = 6x
Gary's pole has 11 worms = 11y
Together they haves.
6x+11y=103
Subsitute)
6x+11(13-x)=103
6x-11x+143=103
5x=40
x=8
y=13-8
y=5.

Hence, Daniel has 8 poles and Gary has 5 poles.
