Let the cost of the third adhesive = $ x
Then, the cost of the second adhesive = $ 3x
the cost of the first adhesive = $ 2*3x = $ 6x
Total cost x+3x+6x = 45
10x = 45
x = 45/10
x = 4.5
So the most expensive adhesive = 6x = 6*4.5 = $ 27
