Question 264925: hello,im homeschooled and
i had a problem solving this expression.
can you please check it for me
here it is:
square root(18)-square root(3)/square root(6)
my answer was: square root(3)-square root(1/2)
is this right or can i simplify it more?
and also
my textbook did not explain these kind of problems very well:
square root(a)+square root(b)/square root (a)-square root(b)
this one is also similar to it:
square root (5)+1/square root(5)-1
THANK YOU FOR ANSWERING!!!
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Your 1st answer looks good
You can actually check it on a calculator
Looks like a rounding-off error- I could have
used more decimal places
I don't think it can be simplified more
-----------------------------
Multiply this fraction by which equals 1
This is to get rid of any square roots in the denominator answer
Again, you can check answer with a calculator
