You can put this solution on YOUR website! Pat, Jett, and Vic went to the library during their break.
Jett stayed in the library for 1/10 hour less than Pat.
Vic stayed in the library for 1/4 hour more than Jett.
If Vic stayed in the library for 4/5 hour, how much time did each one stay in the library?
-----
Inequalities; Equalities
J = P - (1/10)
V = J + (1/4)
V = 4/5 hr.
----------
Solve for "J":
J = V - (1/4)
J = (4/5)-(1/4)
J = 11/20 hr
----
Solve for "P"
P = J + (1/10)
P = (11/20) + (1/10)
P = 11/20 + 2/20
P = 13/20 hr.
