Question 264035: Ok, my question reads, "Graph both of the following functions on the same coordinate system. State the point of intersection as an ordered pair." The functions it gives me are +y=2x%2B1+ and +y=6x+-+3+ . But how can I solve them if I don't know what y or x are? Am I supposed to make my own number for either y or x to solve it, or am I missing something? I know how to graph, and I can find the point of intersection, but I can't figure out how to solve the functions without a function table. Please help if you can? Thank you.

The point of intersection (x,y) is the solution to the given system. For instance, if the two points intersect at the point (0,1) (they don't, but let's say that they do), this would mean that x=0 and y=1. Does that make sense?
