We can set up a formula that would be Value of property times the rate = property tax or in shorter version: 
Vr=tax Plug in the values we know: 
150,000r=1350 Divide both sides by 150,000 to get: 
r=.009 or .9% is the tax rate 
On a property valued at $225,000 use the same formula: 
225,000(.009)=tax Do the calculations: 
$2025  
There we go.
