Question 262624: Zvia's sweater cost twice as much as her hat, and a third as much as her coat. Her coat cost $114. How much did her sweater cost?
I tried solving it this way:
Zvia's sweater= 1/3x her coat
If her coat costs $114, then you could say
114/3= $38
If her sweater costs 2x as much as her hat, you could say
38/2=$19
So then I would add 38+19=$57.00
so her sweater would cost $57.00
....Am i solving this the correct way?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
s=2h
s=c/3
c=114
h=19
s=38
