Question 262397: A rectangle has a perimeter of 12 m. If each side is a whole number of meters, what are the possible dimensions for the length and width?

You can put this solution on YOUR website! If the perimeter is 12, then the semi-perimeter is 6.
Put another way
P = 2L + 2W
12 = 2L + 2W
by division,
6 = L + W
we need to positive numbers that add to 6. We get
(L,W)
(1,5)
(2,4)
(3,3)
(4,2)
(5,1)
