Question 260873: the measure of angle 1=3xdegress
the measure of angle 2=(x+4)degress
measure of angle 3=(2y-12)

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Assume all angles are in a triangle. we get
3x+%2B+%28x%2B4%29+%2B+%282y-12%29+=+180
step 1 - combine like terms to get
4x+-8+%2B+2y+=+180
step 2 - add 8 and subtract 4x from both sides to get
2y+=+188+-+4x
here there are many values of X and Y that work.

Assume that one of the angles = another angle, for example angle 1 = angle 2, then we can say
3x = x + 4
2x = 4
x = 2
Now in angle 3, all we have is a Y, so
3 = 2y - 12
15 = 2y
y = 7.5
Here x = 2 and y = 7.5

not sure how the angles are related.
