step 2 - rewrite using rules of logs as
log%283x%2F%28x-2%29%29+=+log%285%29
step 3 - eliminate logs to get
3x%2F%28x-2%29+=+5
step 4 - cross multiply to get
3x+=+5x+-+10
solve for x and we get
x = 5
