Question 26029: My homework is due by tomorrow and I need assistance with this equation. HELP PLEASE
Here is the equation:
(x+3)/x - (x+4)/(x+5) = 15/(x^2+5x)
What is the LCD????
And how do I solve this equation???!!
THANKS ALOT FOR YOUR HELP!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The denominators are: x; (x+5); x(x+5)
So, the LCD is x(x+5)
Multiply both sides by the LCD to get:
[(x+3)(x+5)] -[(x+4)(x)]= 15
[x^2+8x+15]-[x^2+4x]=15
4x+15=15
4x=0
x=0
But x cannot be zero because it is the denominator
of the 1st fraction and is a factor of the denominator
of the right side.
The problem has no solution.
