Here is our system:
(i) y=3x-4
(ii) y=3x%2B4
step 1 - substitute (i) into (ii) to get
(iii) 3x-4+=+3x%2B4
step 2 - subtract 3x to get
(Iv) -4+=+4
since this never happens, we can say no solution.
It is no solution because the two lines, when graphed, will be parallel.

Your solutions should tell you that there is no solution.
Look at the equations.
They are in slope intercept form.
They have the same slope but different y intercepts
They are parallel lines and of course never cross. A solution would be where they cross. but they don't.
