You can put this solution on YOUR website! Solve: Multipy both sides of the equation by 3 to clear the 1/3 fraction Simplify. Multiply both sides by 2 to clear the 1/2 fraction. Simplify. Apply the distributive property to the left side. Subtract p from both sides. Subtract 42 from both sides.
