You can put this solution on YOUR website!
We have this equation
(i) y%5E2+%2B+z%5E2+=+20
and then
40 percent of 75 percent of p is the average of y and z translates to be
(ii) .40%2A.75%2Ap+=+%28y%2Bz%29%2F2
which is
(iii) .3p=+%28y%2Bz%29%2F2
and then
(iv) y%2Bz+=+.6p
we can solve this for p to get
(v) p=%28y%2Bz%29%2F.6%29
--
Looking back at (i)
y = +-2, z = +-4
or
y= +-4, z = +-2
--
we have 8 options:
option 1: y = 2, z = 4. p = 10
option 2: y = 2, z = -4. p = -10/3
option 3: y = -2, z = 4. p = 10/3
option 4: y = -2, z = -4. p = -10
--
option 5: y = 4, z = 2. p = 10
option 6: y = 4, z = -2. p = 10/3
option 7: y = -4, z = 2. p = -10/3
option 8: y = -4, z = -2. p = -10
