If it gains 1 foot in 2 minutes, but it loses 6 inches each time , then it really only gains 6 inches every 2 minutes.
There's 12 inches per foot, and 8 ft total
8X12 = 96inches to climb
96inches divided by 6 inches = 16(2 min crawls)
16crawls X 2 mins per crawl = (32mins)



Or.... if it falls back 6 inches each time it reaches 1 ft, then it will never get past 1 ft, and therefore never reach the top. lol
