You can put this solution on YOUR website! The 8 is the hypotenuse which means that the ratio 1:2:sqrt(3) are multiplied by 4.
2*4=8
1*4=4 opposite the 30 degrees angle
sqrt(3)*4=4sqrt(3) opp the 60 degree angle

The triangle is a right triangle so Pythagoras can be applied.

x^2 + y^2 = 8^2
x^2 + 4^2 = 64
x^2 = 64-16
x^2 = 48
