You can put this solution on YOUR website!
470/6 = 78.33333333 km/hr = 78333.33333 m/hr = 78333.33/3600 = 21.76 m/s

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Lets start with the given information as
470 km / 6 hrs
We want the average speed in meters / sec.
We need to convert km to meters - - > 1000m = 1 km
We need to convert hours to seconds - - > 1hr = 60 min and 1 min = 60 sec. So, 1hr = 3600 sec.
we now multiply the following
(470 km/6 hr)*(1000 m/1 km)*(1 hr/3600 sec)
cancel out the km and the hr to get our rate in m / sec
applying multiplication and division as needed we get
21.759 m/sec.
