You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1.2x-4y=6
2.2x%2By=1+
Since both have a "2x" term solve eq. 1 for 2x and substitute into eq. 2,
1.2x-4y=6
2x=4y%2B6
.
.
.
2.2x%2By=1+
%284y%2B6%29%2By=1+
5y%2B6=1+
5y=-5+
y=-1
Then from above,
2x=4y%2B6
2x=4%28-1%29%2B6
2x=-4%2B6
2x=2
x=1
.
.
.
(x,y)=(1,-1)
