This is like the triangle on the paper being that b is 50 foot pole,
the stake is at the end of A n it is 52 degrees and C is the wire
how far away from the base of the pole should the stake be driven in,to the NEAREST foot? what will be the length of the wire from the stake to the top of the pole, to the NEAREST foot?''.
i need two different answers right? please help and thank you

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
a stake is to be driven into the ground away from the base of a 50foot pole,a wire from the stake on the ground to the top of the pole is to be installed at an angle of elevation of 52degrees.

how far away from the base of the pole should the stake be driven in,to the NEAREST foot? what will be the length of the wire from the stake to the top of the pole, to the NEAREST foot?''.

50 ft is the opposite, a is the adjacent.

So use the tangent.

tan%28%2252%B0%22%29=+50%2Fa

Put 1 under the tangent:

tan%28%2252%B0%22%29%2F1=+50%2Fa

Cross-multiply:

a%2Atan%28%2252%B0%22%29=50

Divide both sides by tangent:

a=50%2Ftan%28%2252%B0%22%29

a=39.06428133 round to 39 feet.

------------------------

50 is the opposite, c is the hypotenuse.

So use the sine.

sin%28%2252%B0%22%29=+50%2Fc

Put 1 under the sine:

sin%28%2252%B0%22%29%2F1=+50%2Fc

Cross-multiply:

c%2Asin%28%2252%B0%22%29=50

Divide both sides by sin:

c=50%2Fsin%28%2252%B0%22%29

c=63.45091075 round to 63 feet.
