You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let x and x+1 be consecutive integers.
From above, we get
(i) x%28x%2B1%29+=+812
distributing, we get
(ii) x%5E2+%2B+x+=+812
setting = 0, we get
(iii) x%5E2+%2B+x+-+812+=+0
factoring, we get
(iv) %28x%2B29%29%28x-28%29+=+0+
solving, we get
x = -29
or
x = 28.
So our two options are:
(-29, -28)
(28, 29)

Do these the fast and easy way. It could make the difference on a test.
----------------------------
sqrt(812) = 28.... something, less than 29.
The numbers are 28 and 29
-28 and -29 work also.
