Question 25795: Please help me solve this equation: p^2+6p=0
Answer by jb007mi6(53) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! ok ... so you have p common in both terms on the left hand side of the equation
this means you can factor the p like so p(p+6)=0 if you expand the LHS, then you will get the original equation.
now set each factor equal to 0
p=0 and p+6=0
thus,
p=0 and p=-6
hope this helps...
