What are the dimentions of a square given the area of 12?
Let s be the length of a side. Then the area A is given by:
A = s*s = s^2
So we have:
s^2 = 12
s = sqrt(12) = sqrt(4*3) = sqrt(4)*sqrt(3) = 2*sqrt(3)
