We know the formula for area of rectangle is
A+=+LW - -> garden
From above l = 2W, so
A+=+2W%5E2
Now we add 2 feet to each length and width, so we have
A+=+%282W+%2B+4%29%28W+%2B+4%29
or
A+=+2W%5E2%2B+12W+%2B+16 - -> garden and path.
