You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Given: %281%2FX%29+-+%282%2FX+%2B+1%29+=+%28%285%2FX%5E2%29+%2B+X%29+-+2
Did you try multplying both sides by X%5E2?

Distribute the X^2

Simplify the equation
X+-+2X+-+X%5E2+=+5+%2B+X%5E3+-+2+%2A+X%5E2
Add like terms
highlight%28-X+-+X%5E2+=+5+%2B+X%5E3+-+2+%2A+X%5E2%29
Add X^2 to both sides
-X+=+5+%2B+X%5E3+-+2+%2A+X%5E2+%2B+X%5E2
Add X to both sides
0+=+5+%2B+X%5E3+-+2+%2A+X%5E2+%2B+X%5E2+%2B+X
Combine like terms
highlight%280+=+5+%2B+X%5E3+-+X%5E2+%2B+X%29
Hopefully that helps

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
%281%2Fx%29-%282%2F%28x%2B1%29%29=%285%2F%28x%2Ax%29%2Bx%29+-2
step 1 - find a common denominator which is x^2(x+1)
step 2 - multiply all terms by the common denominator to get
x%28x%2B1%29-2x%5E2+=+5%28x%2B1%29+%2B+x%28x%5E2%29%28x%2B1%29+-+2%28x%5E2%28x%2B1%29%29
step 3 - distribute on both sides and combine like terms to get
x%5E2%2Bx-2x%5E2+=+5x+%2B+5+%2Bx%5E4%2Bx%5E3-2x%5E2%2B2x%5E2
-x%5E2+%2B+x+=+x%5E4+%2B+x%5E3+-+x%5E2+%2B+5x+%2B+5
x%5E4+%2B+x%5E3+%2B+4x+%2B+5+=+0
All solutions will be imaginary.
