Question 256625: I am looking for the general solution for the equation: 3 sin theta = 1/4, in degrees from 0 to 720 Answer by drk(1908) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! We have the original question as:
step 1 - divide by 3 to get = .083333
step 2 sin inverse both sides to get
This is just under 5 degrees, ~ 4.5 degrees. I don't have a scientific calculator.
Sin is positive in Quadrant I and II, so we get
4.5, 175.5, 364.5, 535.5.
