You can put this solution on YOUR website! This is a fairly simple question. On the left, you have to distribute 2, so the problem then becomes 4x + 7 = 2x+6. Then you subtract 2x from both sides and you get 2x+7=6. Next you subtract 7 from both sides, and you get 2x=-1. Then you divide both sides by 2, and you are left with your answer of -1/2 or -0.5.
