You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The volume of a pyramid with a square base is (1/3)(area of base)(height). Here, the area of the base is 6*6 = 36 and the height is 9. So the volume is (1/3)(36)(9) = 108 yd^3.

We want the volume of a pyramid which is
V+=+%281%2F3%29Bh, where B = area of base.
The area of the base is a square 6 yrd x 6 yrd or 36 yrd^2.
So, we get
V+=+%281%2F3%29%2A36%2A9
V+=+108 yrd^3

V=bh/3
V=6*6*9/3=324/3=108 yds^3 ans.
